Key Chorale Seeks Part Time Business Manager for 08/01/2018
Working closely with Artistic Director Joseph Caulkins, Key Chorale’s Business Manager will ensure a successful performance and event season for one of Sarasota’s fastest-growing arts organizations. The Business Manager’s primary role is to manage the administrative and financial framework and to develop donor and organizational relationships that can support an exciting season of masterworks and chamber concerts that includes collaborations with multiple major nonprofit organizations in the Sarasota community, including the Sarasota Orchestra, Sarasota Ballet, Circus Arts Conservatory, and Jewish Family and Children’s Services. In addition to their leadership role in maintaining Key Chorale’s robust concert season, the Business Manager will have the opportunity to play a critical role in expanding Key Chorale’s community impact by managing and continuing to develop outreach programs, from robust educational programming in partnership with Sarasota County Schools to health and wellness outreach with the Neuro Challenge Foundation.

Duties include performance and event management (booking venues, coordinating rehearsal/performance/event logistics, negotiating contracts with external contractors, arranging travel accommodations for guest artists), fundraising and development (implementation of annual budget and fundraising plan, managing major fundraising campaigns and events, arranging corporate sponsorship), and organizational management (coordinating collaborative partnerships, overseeing educational programming, editing and approving marketing plan and materials, attending board and committee meetings, acting as a representative within community organizations).

A successful candidate will demonstrate organization and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks independently, strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively with a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and strong writing and editing skills. At least two years of experience in non-profit administration and a background or interest in choral/symphonic music are preferred.
