Abstract Painting with Collage – Visiting Artist Workshop, Robert Burridge

Always wanted to do abstract painting, but don’t know where to begin?

Experience demos, techniques, basic formulas, compositions and color techniques to create more meaningful abstracts. Imagine painting with your fingers, paper towels and brushes.

This wildly creative class is about creating new artwork. This is a concentrated workshop, emphasizing planning and playing with your painting, from your concept to the creation of a series. Be prepared to paint looser, bolder, freer and lighter. We will experiment with variations in materials and techniques, using acrylic, watermedia paints and collage. Plenty of time for painting exercises.

This workshop is a serious approach for those who have a great sense of humor and a positive attitude. All levels. Handouts.

Space is limited. Students may make a non-refundable deposit of $100 to reserve their place. Full payment is due 60 days before the start of class. When the workshops are full we will take a waitlist.
