Nutcracker Classical Ballet presented by Russian Ballet and School of Russian Ballet

In the upcoming production of The Nutcracker on December 15 at Sarasota Opera House, School of Russian ballet proudly presents Sergey Sidorskiy as he reprises his role of the Nutcracker and the Nutcracker Prince.  Mr. Sidorskiy was born in Kiev, Ukraine and performs at Taras Shevchenko National Opera and is Principal Dancer in the Ballet Theatre of Ukraine. He was trained at the Kiev State Choreographic School and has won many international competitions and awards. He was given the esteemed title “Honored Artist of the Ukraine”.  Another guest artist we are proud to present is Douglas Horne, who have been dancing professionally after studying on full scholarships with American Ballet Theatre (New York), Miami City Ballet (Miami, FL), and Studio Maestro (New York). In June 2010 he was the Bronze Medal winner in the World Ballet Competition: and in June 2009 he was a finalist in The New York International Ballet Competition. Additionally, he was a semi-finalist in the renowned International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. He won Gold in the senior classical division of the Youth American Grand Prix semifinals in Torrington, CT. In 2007 he won the Gold Medal in the senior division of the Youth Dance Festival in New Jersey. Mr. Horne has danced leading roles with the Orlando Ballet.

Spectacular music by Tchaikovsky, choreography by Vadim Fedotov, our renowned guest stars  and amazing dancers of School of Russian Ballet will make The Nutcracker ballet a wonderful holiday present for family, friends, and children of all ages.
