“Black Identity in the Arts: Generational Perspectives”

April 28, 2022, 6pm-8pm, Host Site: Ringling College of Art and Design Larry Thompson Academic Center

Is there a nationwide renaissance of art by Black and African American artists? If so, is their work being embraced within American museums and galleries? The panel of generational artists will explore these issues and their artform. The discussion will revolve around the role of the Black artist in today’s society.

Panelists include, Greg Rumph, Artist, Educational Administrator, Krystle Lemonias, Artist, Labor Activist, and Art Educator and Kiron Binsworth Robinson, Senior Ringling College of Art and Design. Moderated by Sheila McKoy, public art consultant.
