Coming Soon: AEP6 Study

The Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County is proud once again to be a part of the Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 Study (AEP6), an economic impact study of our arts and culture industry. This highly regarded project is being conducted by independent researchers at Americans for the Arts, which has been conducting these studies for 30 years. The findings have been trusted for decades to leverage increases in local, state, and federal arts funding.

Our local arts and cultural organizations are what make our community more desirable by creating pride in where we live and work, unifying our neighborhoods, and infusing lives with joy. They also attract audiences, spur business development, support local jobs, generate government revenue, and are a cornerstone of tourism.

This study is already underway and arts and cultural organizations will continue to collect surveys through May 31, 2023. So the next time you attend a performance or visit a museum you may be asked to participate in this study by filling out a quick survey. Below are a few more details you should be aware of, as well as some frequently asked questions.

  • A paper survey, as well as a digital version accessible by a QR code will be available.
  • The survey should only take 2-3 minutes for participants to complete.
  • A separate survey is available for BIPOC & ALAANA participants.
