World Lemur Festival: Juried Art Exhibition

Lemur Conservation Foundation is now accepting submissions by artists who create works depicting lemurs. Lemur biology, ecology, and/or conservation must be the central theme of the work. The exhibition will be restricted to visual art mediums. This exhibition opportunity is open to all local, national, and international artists (professional and amateur) who are 14+ years old.

The top two pieces selected by the jury are donated to the Lemur Conservation Foundation Art Collection in Myakka City, Florida. First Place will receive $1000 prize and be named “Lemur Conservation Foundation Artist of the Year.” Second Place will receive $500 prize. If the jury selects your entry for 1st or 2nd place, you will be required to ship the original art piece to LCF upon notification by the jury.

Please note that due to COVID-19 we are unable to hold a physical event at our brick and mortar location in Florida. Instead, photographs of your original 2D and 3D art will be used for a digital exhibition. All works will be accepted for consideration, and the jury will select a portion of entries for the online exhibition on our website and social media platforms. Only the top two pieces (as determined by the jury) will be required to ship original pieces to LCF.

Submission deadline is September 30, 2020 at 5:00 PM EST. For contest rules and to enter, visit: www.bit.ly/lemurart2020
