Description: Each year, the Arts and Cultural Alliance puts together a grant panel to review and score applications for the Tourist Development Cultural/Arts Grant program. As a part of the review process, the panel hosts two public meetings: one to interview the applicants, and another to discuss their scores and recommendations prior to finalizing the process.

This is the second public meeting of the panel, where they will discuss scoring.

Time: 4-6 pm

Location: Commission Chamber, Sarasota County Administration, 1660 Ringling Blvd.

Description: The Arts & Cultural Alliance will be presenting the funding recommendations for the FY26 Tourist Development Cultural Arts grants. The Tourist Development Council will vote on whether to recommend these grant recommendations to the Board of Sarasota County Commissioners.

  • If on the agenda July 9 – Sarasota County Administration, 1660 Ringling Blvd.

Description: The Arts & Cultural Alliance will be presenting the funding recommendations for the FY26 Tourist Development Cultural Arts grants. After considering ACA recommendations and TDC actions, the BCC shall, at its discretion, approve in whole or in part, or deny any grant recommendations. The County shall not be compelled to act in accordance with the recommendations of the ACA nor shall the County be required to explain its actions.

Description: The City of Sarasota’s Public Art Committee (PAC) is comprised of six members appointed by the City Commission. The purpose of the PAC is to provide insight and recommendations regarding the acquisition, placement, installation, or removal of public art in the City of Sarasota.
